Per Relevo, the two clubs and the player had agreed on a transfer and he travelled to London directly from Paris after winning the Olympic gold medal with Spain beating the hosts in the final. However, the 20-year-old did not feature in the gold medal match due to an injury. It is reported that the injury that kept him away from the Olympic final proved detrimental to his move as his medical with the West London club was unsatisfactory.

DID YOU KNOW?

With Omorodion no longer an option for Enzo Maresca's side, the club are now discussing the possibility of bringing back Joao Felix from Los Rojiblancos. Felix spent six months on loan at Stamford Bridge during the 2022/23 season before moving to Barcelona on a season-long loan deal in the last campaign.
