Southampton: Valery likes Lemina’s emotional Instagram post

Southampton right-back Yan Valery has responded to Mario Lemina’s emotional Instagram upload by liking the Gabon international’s post.

Valery – who played alongside Lemina before the former Juventus man signed for Galatasaray on a season-long loan deal – liked a post from the midfielder which was captioned with a message stating that he would like to apologise for his silence since suffering an injury, and that he will ‘hope’ to return to action as soon as possible.

The 26-year-old picked up a hamstring injury on the stroke of full-time in Sunday’s 1-0 win over Yeni Matalyaspor, which extended Galatasaray’s winning streak to six matches.

Lemina will now miss the upcoming derby match against Fenerbahce as a result of the injury.

The Gabonese star is set to return to St Mary’s in the summer, although it remains to be seen how Ralph Hasenhuttl treats him having taken him off the club’s first-team schedule before his departure while also leaving him out of the pre-season tour along with Charlie Austin.
