The couple have headed to South America after seeing their respective campaigns at Aston Villa come to a close. Luiz helped the men’s team to a top-four finish in the Premier League and Champions League qualification, while Lehmann figured prominently for the women’s team as they reached the League Cup semi-finals.

Lehmann also hit a half-century of appearances for her country in 2023-24, with the Swiss forward counting down the days to a European Championship on home soil in 2025. She is also looking ahead to a Women’s World Cup that will be heading to Brazil in 2027.
